Guest guest
i was thinking about what addy said, and it seems that it could be a very helpful test to help adjust xolair doses. i'm already on the max approved dose (375 every two weeks). lets say my free floating IgE was high, would they then be able to increase my dose? you may not know this, but i figured i'd throw the question out to you. just wondering. there are times i just don't feel 375 is enough for me. i always wonder what would happen if i injected that extra 75mg left in the vial...would i suddenly grow a third eye or something - haha (cipro liquid came yesterday, i just nebulized dose two - i forgot how awful this stuff tasted - even though its going thru my nose, it manages to make it to my mouth. oh well. if it clears my sinus infection, i shouldn't complain! ) hope everyone is feeling good! heather
Guest guest
Interesting questions, I'd love to know the answers too. I sure wish that there was some way we could keep what we have to put up our nose from making it to the taste buds. I have to use Nasarel nasal spray 2x/day, it's really nasty too.- Hope it clears up your sinus infection. You've had a long haul with it. Guest guest
Theoretically if they could measure just the free-floating IgE separate from the already Xolair-bound-IgE they could play around with dosages more. According to my doc they think that some people may be able to lower dosages eventually but that also some folks might go through periods where their free-floating IgE might increase and an increase in dosage might be needed. , I did try to squeeze a few more mg out of my vials last time and I'm going to continue to do so. I get 375mg too. --- In , " heather " <heaven1975@y...> wrote: > > > i was thinking about what addy said, and it seems that it could be a > very helpful test to help adjust xolair doses. i'm already on the > max approved dose (375 every two weeks). lets say my free floating > IgE was high, would they then be able to increase my dose? you may > not know this, but i figured i'd throw the question out to you. > > just wondering. there are times i just don't feel 375 is enough for > me. i always wonder what would happen if i injected that extra 75mg > left in the vial...would i suddenly grow a third eye or something - > haha > > > (cipro liquid came yesterday, i just nebulized dose two - i forgot > how awful this stuff tasted - even though its going thru my nose, it > manages to make it to my mouth. oh well. if it clears my sinus > infection, i shouldn't complain! ) > > hope everyone is feeling good! > heather
Guest guest
THanks to everyone for the good wishes. For my part, Astelin leaves the worst taste. Doug, the Xopenex doesn't do any better for me side-effect wise. It does seem to last longer, so I need to neb less frequently, so that's a good thing. Gotta go cough some more, Addy --- In , " " <cox58asthma@y...> wrote: > > > Interesting questions, I'd love to know the answers too. > > I sure wish that there was some way we could keep what we have to > put up our nose from making it to the taste buds. Guest guest
did you see an improvement with the added xolair? or does it take time to build up at that dose too? did your dr approve it, or is it on your own (just wondering, not judging by any means!) astelin also leaves a horrible taste in my mouth feel better > > > > > > i was thinking about what addy said, and it seems that it could be > a > > very helpful test to help adjust xolair doses. i'm already on the > > max approved dose (375 every two weeks). lets say my free floating > > IgE was high, would they then be able to increase my dose? you may > > not know this, but i figured i'd throw the question out to you. > > > > just wondering. there are times i just don't feel 375 is enough > for > > me. i always wonder what would happen if i injected that extra > 75mg > > left in the vial...would i suddenly grow a third eye or something - > > > haha > > > > > > (cipro liquid came yesterday, i just nebulized dose two - i forgot > > how awful this stuff tasted - even though its going thru my nose, > it > > manages to make it to my mouth. oh well. if it clears my sinus > > infection, i shouldn't complain! ) > > > > hope everyone is feeling good! > > heather
Guest guest
I just eeked out a little extra out of each vial on my own. It didn't amount to a whole lot - 1.1 cc per shot (three shots) vs. 1.0. I have felt a little better, but I don't know if you can attribute it to the add'l Xolair or not.
