Guest guest
Haven't posted in a while because I haven't had anything to post... I have been able to pretty much cut out prednisone from my drug diet. Saw my hematologist a few weeks ago, and my eosiniphil count is normal, despite no pred. Doc said - doing great, keep up what you are doing (i.e., no pred). Saw my allergist yesteray, and he said you sound great, but you'd better stay on the pred even when you don't feel like you need it, so that symptoms (from other affliction, not asthma) don't return. In other words, you're ok, but keep taking medicine so you stay that way. AAARRGGHH! Having said that, 10 mg every other day is considered by many specialists to be a very low dose. Did a lung function test, too. Even though I feel good, my lung function has not improved at all in the past year. I was hoping for better news. Dr. says that I have had asthma for too long to expect any change. Should look at the positive - at least I FEEL good. He suggested I try Spiriva as it might help improve the lung function. Anyone out there with any experience with this one? I'm not enthusiastic about taking something just for fun. Hope all of you have a happy Thanksgiving.
