Guest guest
I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the heater. We turned the heat on for the first time more or less around the same time I started flaring again. My husband has changed the filters, maybe that will help. Of course, I'm also really stressed right now and not getting enough fluids..... Where is everyone? I hope you all are out busy enjoying the fall weather and not sick in bed or anything! Take care all, Addy
Guest guest
hi all. i tried posting yesterday, but i got some weird mesage that the system wasn't accepting it or something. i wanted to wait for doug to go through the messages and make sure it didn't get posted...i'd look silly with repeat posts! its been very quiet here. i thought it was just me, but addy said the same thing. hope that means everyone is out and about, enjoying life to the fullest! things here have been wobbley. its november, which typically kicks off my run of bad months. my sinuses are in a constant flare, and have invited my lungs for a ride. i was on prednisone for 2-3 weeks, and it helped, but now that i'm off it, things have gone back to a flare mode. at this point, its nothing more than annoying. i'm making 6 hours b/w nebs, so i'm not really concerned. i return to my dr for xolair today, so i'll see what she says. on the brighter side, typically my november is spent either in the hospital or with my begging and pleading to stay home and treat the asthma rather aggressively. with the xolair, i'm home, and doing my thing without concern. i'm not at the dr every day or two, which is the only way i'm usually allowed to stay home, so LIFE IS GOOD!!! oh, as an aside, my dr recommended that i purchase a portable neb. i had one, 15 years old, that ran off my cig. lighter and enclosed rechargable battery, but to say it was portable was a stretch. i could carry it anywhere, but it was HUGE, bulky...not practical for use in my classroom. my inhaler just hasn't been cutting it with this flare (flare-let??) anyway, on the suggestion of my friend, i picked up the omron microair ( http://www.portablenebs.com/ has the best price anywhere) . it is really a dream. 100% silent, quick, super fast (nebs are done in 5 minutes) and its slightly bigger than a glasses case. it runs on two AA batteries. i love it. it makes nebbing at work in my classroom (while on a break) so easy. i'm going to submit the paperwork to my insurance and hope to be reimbursed. anyway, hope everyone has a great day and is feeling well heather > > > I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the heater. When I am not around, Addy takes over must have had a glitch. It is not uncommon with .......like about every day LOL! And speaking of glitches.......Last week, I joined the alldiabeticsinternational group and set it to NO email. Well, I kept on getting emails from the group, sometimes up to 50 per day. Without a high speed connection, so many emails at once clogged up my puter and I would have to re boot and get offline every time I checked my email. I left the group to keep this from happening but it only made it worse. I put the group in my " block senders " list too, but it didnt help one bit. Finally, after the moderator of the group contacted a few times, it stopped. I rejoined the group, set it to NO email and now everything is fine. Yes, provides a GREAT free service, but It has its problems. Doug
