Guest guest
Hello Everyone - I wanted to update my personal experience w/ Xolair. So far, I have had two xolair injections (over the last 2 months). I am also still on weekly allergy shots/immunotherapy. I think it is starting to " kick in " , but I developed a couple of upper respiratory infections in the meantime. This probably would have taken place anyway -Xolair or no Xolair. (I have a first grader who brings friends with all sorts of colds and coughs!) I must mention, that these upper respiratory infections are giving me less grief than in the past which in my opinion, may be due to the Xolair. I find that I am wheezing less although the wheezes and tightness and congestion are not totally gone. My sinuses still drip and continue to cause me trouble, however. That is probably worse due to my own negligence. (I've been forgetting to use my saline nasal sprays and my nasal steroid sprays. I am overwhelmed with a short course of antibiotics, the constant oral steroids,allergy/asthma medicines and now, glucophage because of that rotten oral steroid. My blood sugars are not where they should be. It seems like i have to take one pill to stop the bad effects of another pill for another problem. That is another long sad story of mine. ) I want to emphasize this is my experience only. Apologies for my long message - I thought it might be interesting! Hope this finds everyone in excellent health. GM
