Guest guest
, I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble and back on pred. I know how it is! I'm still having lung trouble and can't quite finish this last episode. I guess none of us can expect not to have ANY more allergic episodes any more. This last month has been hard on me, but after nine months of very few and then only mild symptoms, I cannot complain. FYI last year I couldn't wear my contacts often due to all the facial swelling from allergic sinus disease, so I totally empathize with your current situation. Please keep us updated on what your ENT is doing/saying. I am fascinated to hear of an ENT looking into allergic sinus disease. I've seen 3 different ENTs in my area in the last seven years and none of them are really interested. Take care, Addy
Guest guest
heather, Sorry to hear about you having to go back on pred and maybe surgery. Maybe, even though it's bad it would have been worse without the Xolair. Hope the 2 weeks of pred clears up the problem for you. I'm taking Advair 500/50 and sometimes I think it has a small bronchodialator effect after about 30 min., but other times I don't feel it at all. I think I felt it more whwen I first started taking it. Best wishes and try to keep a positive outlook, we are all with you. Guest guest
its the pred yo~yo..i was sooo hoping i was done with the pred...i know, as an asthmatic, thats quite a tall order...but a girl can dream. its frustrating, and i hate that its stealing the bounce out of me...which i can't understand. i'd go months being sick. now this has me all sorts of twisted. the other oddity, two days on pred, and somehow, i'm having more trouble breathing today that i have. hoping its not a flare in the works. i'm very fortunate to have such a great ENT. he is a man of exact details, and doesn't take NO for an answer. i almost welcome surgery, even if it going to be an every 12-18 month maintainance type thing. i most likely will get a CT in a month...i'll keep you posted addy, as i know you are dealing with similar circumstances. this is my 2nd ENT. have you ever used sinu-neb? my ENT had me on it right after surgery, and i generally get it for stubborn infections. its worth asking about. if you want to look into it, here is the link. http://www.sinuspharmacy.com/ its basicly a fancy nebulizer attachment that helps deliver meds via nebulizer to the sinuses directly. it was very effective for me. thanks for listening to me whine. heather > > > , > > I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble and back on pred.
