Guest guest
Xhale is the Xolair administration program in Canada. It is administered by some pharmaceutical marketing firm hired by Novartis to handle the patients, claims and docs. You and/or your doc should call the no. I gave you and they can give you ALL the info you need. They do Xolair in all of Canada. ps I-866-9xolair __________________________________________________________ Find your next car at http://autos..ca
Guest guest
HI Thanks for that number again! I called them a few minutes ago and she set up a conference call with my insurance company. After much rigarmorole, we spoke to a woman to see if they covered Xolair. She would not say yes or no. She advised that we would have to send in forms detailing why I was to be on this and what other options have been tried. Syvlie (from Xolair), is faxing me the forms and faxing them to my respirologist as well. The first steps have begun!!! Guest guest
I am very glad you called them! I think I have spoken to Sylvie in the past. My case worker is Lynn. That is exactly what they do best, run interference with insurance companies. They are super professional and very into patient confidentiality. I think the Xhale ppl are AMAZING and I told Lynn I would recommend them to anyone who asks (I even mentioned that I had met someone online who might be starting Xolair with them!) It's typical for insurance companies to want to know what you have already tried to make sure that everyone understands that this is not first line treatment but like 4th line after all else (cheaper stuff) fails. Do let us know how things go! I will keep my fingers crossed for you. I am no. 9 in Canada and I had my 6 month anniversary on Sat. Baby steps but things are improving! ps Go HABS go!!! (Sorry I couldn't resist!) __________________________________________________________ Find your next car at http://autos..ca
Guest guest
Ohhhh ....... Why did you have to bring the Habs into this!!! (big grin!!!) My husband and I are Leaf fans! Bruce's dad used to be a scout for the Leaf's before Ballard ruined them in the 1960's. Bruce can remember being a young child and running around the broadcast booth at Maple Leaf Gardens. He also has many authographed pics of the old Leafs. On a side note, he also has a pic of his father accepting some award or another with Rocket (sp?) standing beside him!!! And yes, the people at Xhale are super friendly. Sylvie did tell me that the provice of Quebec has put Xolair on their formulaire (not quite sure what this is!), but the other provinces were slow to add Xolair. I guess all we can do is just keep bugging them! I like the fact that Sylvie will be the person that I deal with when I call Xhale...your'e not talking to a new person each time. bye for now Pamela > > I am very glad you called them!
