Hi - I was wondering if anyone has tried, or explored, the use of Xolair for

CFS?

There are a few reasons I am really curious about Xolair for CFS. First, my CFS

(since 1982) is most noticeably influenced by allergies. Although I am largely

recovered

after a relapse in 1994 (at about 80% of the elusive " normal " , my overall

stamina / health

is noticeably worse in allergy season - which in southern California

unfortunately means

Feb -Sept or so. Even though I take 2-3 meds at any one time for my allergies,

they don't

seem to do much but dampen the symptoms and prevent allergy attacks. Currently

taking

Astelin spray, Flonase and otc Claritin. I know that Allegra and Zyrtec are more

effective but unfortunately I have a sensitive stomach and don't seem to be able

to tolerate

them.

I can tell that allergies are my Achilles heal because when I travel to a place

that has less,

or different, allergens, I typically feel much better. Of course if I stayed

there long enough

my body would eventually become sensitized to the allergens there, so moving

around is not an option to me in any way (I also have a family, lots of local

roots etc.).

On my website RemedyFind a rating was recently posted for Xolair for CFS, and

the results of this one guy's experience are so remarkable that it's really

gotten me

interested in learning more about the potential of Xolair for CFS. Here is his

rating if you

care to read it - http://www.remedyfind.com/rem.asp?ID=10403

Of course, not being an asthmatic I would have to pay out of pocket, which

probably

makes this whole idea unreasonable, but I can't help but wake up at night

wondering what

my life would be like without the constant stress of having to deal with

allergies. Anyone

have any experiences to share?

All the best, Brett Hodges
