I can't seem to wean myself off the Pred. My doctor said that when I

have bad attacks that my nebulizer wont touch, to take 20 mg of pred

for 2 days, 10 mg for 2 days and then 5 mg for two days then off.

I have to take one of these " pred boosts " every so often. I go at

least a month or two and I have to take it again.

Today, I finishd my last " boost. " and my asthma returned with a

vengance. It was so bad that I almost went to the ER. NO nebulizer

or rescue inhailer worked so I took 20 mg and finally got relief.

This was the worst attack I have had since I started the Xolair.

The Ragweed is very high here. I will be getting my " regular "

allergy injection tomorrow and will tell the nurse that I am not

doing so well.

I don't even want to think bad I would be right now if I was NOT

taking Xolair.
