Guest guest
we've had a lot happening in my family lately. my 91 year old grandma fell last tues (the 17th) and broke her hip. it was surgically repaired, but sunday (the 22nd) she passed away. i think it was fate, and not the hip. between staying at the hospital with her, and then making arrangements and all, i've been forgetting meds here and there. no real major problems, where typically, this is a recipe for disaster. i assume xolair is what has helped me keep my head above water. (that and grandma watching out for me!) last night, my extended family and i were over my parents, sitting outside on the porch. the two dogs rolled in something in the yard and STANK! my mom started bathing the first dog, and got an important phone call. i told her i'd take over, she refused, b/c typically as soon as i touch wet dog, my hands swell, asthma and excema instantly gets bad. i told her i'd put xolair to the test. end result - a clean dog, very mild itching, no swollen hands and mild breathing issues, (ongoing all week due to stress) and worsened during yesterday after cleaning grandma's apartment (dusty). YEAH xolair! and more good news -- we finally found an antihistamine that helps me -- anyone hear of SEMPREX? it's the first one that did anything in 15 months! apparently its older, its a 2-3 times day pill, but it helps! i needed something in addition to the xolair. heather
