Guest guest
Hi, I'm fairly new to the Xolair group and am suffering tremdously from my allergies and asmatha. So, anyway, I asked my allergist about Xolair and he said it's not even on the market yet!! What a bunch of crap! This weekend I had to go to the ER for a flare up, and the doc at the hospital said i should see a ENT or a pumologist (sp?). Does anyone know of a good one in Baltimore, MD? I'm going to check with my pediatrician, but maybe someone in the area might know. Thanks guys!

Yes, I would say it's time to look for another doc. He doesn't even know about Xolair yet? Where has he been? It has been out for over a year and many of us are reaping the benefits. I wish I could reccommend a doc in maryland but alas, I live in Arkansas The hospital staff is correct. Your family doctor or pediatrician should be able to reccommend you another good specialist. Let us know what you find out and how you are doing. We are a close group here and care about each other Glad to have you aboard Doug
Guest guest
Hi, welcome to the group! s Hopkins has one of the leading allergy/asthma programs in the country at the university med center. If your insurance will cover it you need to try to get in with them. The lead doc at my pulmonary practice studied there and regularly sends their allergy shot nurse to trainings there. As a result, they offer both pulmonary and allergy at this practice and hire docs who did rotations in both for the practice. I have been very happy with the care I have gotten in this practice. If I were in the Baltimore area I would go to Hopkins. Take care, Addy
