Guest guest
I have been diagnosed, after getting hit by a car walking in the crosswalk, with a disc hernaiton at L5, S1 and nerve damage, and showing with a Needle EMG Study, for Left S1 Radioculopathy. Well, since is seems I am not going to be getting an MRI , now, as it is going to be hard, through my car insurance company, since they did not pay or approved for the first one that showed the herniated disc. But, they said (DOCS in the ER and Family Doc) stated I could have herniated the disc, again (as once you hurt it, it will always have a chance of " POPPING OUT " . Oh, lucky me! So, I am in a lot of pain, bored, unable to shower, wash my long hair (ready to cut it all off!) and have to get my son's Birthday party together! Oh, I ordered a lot of things, online, to be delivered, and my Post Lady is so sweet, as she brings up my mail to the second floor, since I am not " SUPPOSED " to walk up and down steps, walk, sit (as I am on the computer, as I am soooooooo BORED!) and my son and fiancee are off to camping (that I am sooooooooooo jealous of!!!!! I want to go! I love it and plus, I did the Volunteering for Camp Last year, and just did the paper work, this year, and I WANT TO BE THERE (Whining like a baby!!!!!!) Also, the Philadelphia Phantoms and some FLYERS will be there to TEACH all the Scouts how to play hockey, and I am an avid hockey fan, skated growing up with the '87 Flyers, OH, I am just so jealous and so mad and just plained old, upset with myself! Anyone understand and can tell me what I should be doing, NOT be doing, as I am mentally going insane with this pain, and psychical pain, so bad, when I took the fentanyl patch off (I was scared, at a time) and my body was in soooooooooo much pain, I had to put it back on, and doing better, but NOT ME!!!!!! OK, if you made it this far, you deserve a medal! I am just VENTING and I feel like a Cripple! I feel like I am already dying and I don't want to, I want to live, as I am in my 30's, but walk and feel in my 70's! I need a walker. HEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!! Thanks for your response, as I am new to this, and I don't understand what to do! I see my lawyer, in August, about the bills being paid by the lady the hit me, as she stated she didn't see me because the sun was in her eyes (on police report!). But, in NJ, I have to show something that is going to bother me the rest of my life, as I " HAD " a herniated disc in that area, years ago, had a child, and NO BACK PROBLEMS, so don't know what is up! Any advice? Ok, a lot in my head! I need a vacation, away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know I am not the only one! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hugs, Dawn " A friend should be mathematical. Guest guest
Talk to a lawyer. There is no reason for the insurance company not to allow a test that is vital for diagnosing all the potential damage that may have occurred. Also, seek help from a Pain Management Doctor, a certified one preferably. He can help get the pain under control using various options so you can relieve some of the pain you are dealing with. It won't all go away but at least you may be able to function a little. Regarding venting, that's the beauty of this group and many others a like, one of the main purposes is to have a place to vent to those who understand. The groups are compassionate and supportive.
