setback - and everyone is out of the office!

Unfortunately, I am having a major asthma episode.

Monday I started having PND. No up front congestion and no other

symptoms. Treated accordingly to no avail. Start sore throat

Tuesday. Wednesday it was so bad I went to urgent care at the end of

the day (Neither PCP nor allergist would work me in) and got a strep

test - negative. I took 20mg pred that night to try to bring down

inflammation of throat and stave off asthma attack.

Yesterday afternoon my asthma triggered. I had to start albuterol

neb and more pred.

This morning I call to get an antibiotic for the weekend just in

case. All the docs are out and my regular nurse is out - she would

have taken care of it for me. The other nurse doesn't know me so I

have to go to sick clinic tomorrow. She did promise to have all my

allergist's notes available at the sick clinic tomorrow so that the

doctor on duty will know what to give me.
