I wanted to thank all of you on this sight for the valuable information that I recieved. I first joined when my son was 4 mos., he is know almost 6 mos. old. My initial Dr. was useless, and completely unconcerned about my childs flat spot, but due to the info. I recieved here my sons plagio has improved. I found out how to find the right specialist from this group, techniques on how to reposition my son, and to take pictures of my sons head regularly. I also recieved the courage to stand up to my Docter and seek help elsewareWe just got back from the specialist and, he found my sons plagio is now mild, and he also has a mild case of tort. I showed the Dr. the pictures of my sons head before I started to reposition him, and the Dr. was pleased with the improvement he saw. The Doc. wanted to know how I knew how to reposition my son, and I explained this group to him. The Dr. stated that had I not started repositioning so soon, my son would of been a prime candidate for a band (initially my sons head was completely flat in the back, but now there is only one small flat spot). We have been referred to PT for the tort, and I am to continue to reposition, the Dr. is sure his flat spot will soon be resolved. Wow - great news that the repositioning is helping. Keep up the good work!

The PT for the tort should clear that up and you guys will be on the road to

recovery!!!

Thanks for all of the positive feedback.

Despite the fact that we have never really met one another, I too

feel like we are a community of friends.

I am thankful that things were not worse - it could've been a broken

leg. Of course then we would have been airlifted out of the gorge

by helicopter and my son would have thought that was totally cool.

I did give my Xolair shots this morning with my jr. assistant's

help. That is something I thank God for helping to bring all of

us. I would possibly not have been on that hike in the first place

if it were not for Xolair.

I do consider myself fortunate in so many ways. When I was in the

ER last night I saw a lot of people, including children and elderly,

who were so much worse off than I was. I was actually relieved when

the Dr. came in to show me the x-rays of the break. I was afraid

that it might not be broken and then I would have been taking his

time from someone who really needed it.

When you think about it, in spite of our troubles, we are truly

blessed. Not only do all of us share the opportunity to take part

in a medical miracle, but we have the technology available to bridge

the miles, share our stories, and befriend those who would otherwise

be total strangers.

Interesting side story - my folks came up to visit today. They

asked what the baby's name was going to be (we had not discussed it

with them yet). My mom had picked the same name we did. Psychic?
