Guest guest
Well, I don't know what to blame my recent flare up of problems on! We have had a dry July in the NC mountains, but I have had more problems this month than I have in a long time. Looks like I am in good company, though, since so many others are having trouble. I haven't resorted to prednisone, just taking volmax and xopenex from time to time. I'm giving my next Xolair shot tomorrow (yes, it did show up on Friday). I hope that August is easier to deal with since we will be dealing with a new baby. BTW - one of the BENEFITS of pred - my 5 yr old son got into poison ivy this week. All over his face and arms. He's sitting on my lap right now. We've been dosing him with benadryl and hydrocortisone cream. Since I have been taking pred, I simply don't get poison ivy any more. Also, Doug - I took the survey yesterday that you referenced in a post several weeks ago. I really enjoyed having the discussion with the interviewer. We spoke for over an hour about the impact of asthma on life / lifestyle. She hinted that there might be another promising drug on the horizon but of course couldn't reveal much. Probably didn't really know any details. I told her that if there was to be a clinical trial that I would be interested, but since I live so far from civilization I don't usually get in that loop. Have a good weekend. Greg
