Guest guest
Has anyone had experience with discitis. I sent a lengthy E-mail to the suppory group regarding being diagnosed with this disease over the Christmas holiday. A have not had any spinal/back surgury performed, ever. Only difference in my lifestyle is I had my yrl phisical + flu vaccine, and my wife and I started going to the gym daily (until this happened). I am currently being treated with 750mg CIPRO HCL, 2x per day for 10 days, this was after spending 5 days in the hospital with I.V. antibiotics. Ibuprophen works MUCH better for the pain than does the Tylenol #4 x2 if needed. Any help out there would help as I am almost in as much pain today as the day I entered the ER. Guest guest
I'm sorry but I've never encountered it, either as a patient or as a nurse. Neither have we seen it with my husband's case. I wish I could help you more but all I could do would be advise you to research it, like I do when I have questions about something. Just be cautious about everything you find in your research, I've found most web pages are slanted towards the page creator's personal belief. You have to collect, sift, and then ask more questions about everything you find. I hope you get your answers soon tho, because if you DO need more antibiotics, time is important.
