Guest guest
Contact your doctors office now and talk with the person responsible for getting approval thru Blue Cross/Blue Shield. There should not be any problems unless there is a clause in your new policy that states pre-existing medical conditions are not covered. If this is a group policy there are usually not any pre-existing clauses. I do all the authorizations for our patients and I have had several change insurance carriers. There is no reason to be concerned if you give the doctors office sufficient time to get the " ducks in a row " so to speak. Our patients have not missed a beat during any insurance transitions. > > Has anyone had to switch insurance companies while already on xolair? > i just found out today that my company health insurance is switching to > blue cross/blue shield. Guest guest
Thanks, , that is what i needed to hear. BCBS isn't coming to my company until Nov 14, so as of now I have no idea what the policy is all about, they tell us that coverage should remain the same as old policy. my company is self insured and will be as well with BCBS. I did find out my doctors are in network, so i'm just hoping that copay doesn't increase significantly and that allows enough time to get my ducks in a row. My appt is nov 15 for shot and is with administrator so hopefully i'll come armed with all the right information--- LIz In , " getit4less " <kcstarns@a...> wrote: > > Contact your doctors office now and talk with the person responsible > for getting approval thru Blue Cross/Blue Shield.
