Guest guest
Well, according to the article, every now and then they get together and beat him and he goes quiet for a while. Then it all goes back to " normal " . Unemployment, health care etc etc. They're all better than most in the world but people here still perceive them as " problems " . It just makes me laugh when they complain about it as though they're implying they are as serious as, say, the AIDS chrisis in Thailand or Africa. Guest guest
I must say I have read these recent posts with great interest. As a Canadian, our system is completely different. I am so sorry for people who are the pawns of doctors and insurance companies. I mean I am on a 4 month wait list for a cardiac echo and a 5 mo list for an MRI. But I pay 400$ for 40,000$ a year of meds and I get all the doc visits without any concern about anything. The differences are so salient and I am not even sure we can say that one system is better than another. Then again, few Canadians have private drug insurance so that explains why there are prob less than 500 pts on a drug that was available in March 2005. I do my shots in my doc's office and the service is paid for by the hosp. I did give my own shot today (first time ever!). 1, 2, 3 go and despite my serious parkinsonian-style tremor, it did not hurt a bit. I was sooo proud of myself. Cows will likely fly before I am allowed to do it at home but it is not really a concern. I see my doc at the same time and I am in his office once a month for my regular follow-ups so if I need to see him in btw the nurse pages him. I always have SOMETHING going on that needs attention so this system seems to work.... But you know my solution to keeping my coverage? Permanent student-hood. I will register as an independent student in Sept at a local university after I finish this masters and take courses in basket weaving and keep my plan. You gotta do what you gotta do.... Hope all is well with you! I am constantly telling my case worker about how things are like down south and she is like how do you know so many ppl on xolair?? Long live the internet!! __________________________________________________________ Find your next car at http://autos..ca
