Guest guest
Good Morning all! My doc opened up the office this morning so taht he could get a look at my rash. I was FLOORED by his diagnosis. He said this rash is being caused by a VIRUS! Then I got to thinking, and I remembered that when my 10 year old was about 2, she had a similar rash and that's what her pediatrician said too. So, the benadryl probably did nothing, but the hydrocortisone did calm the rash somewhat. He gave me an injection of steroids while I was there because I had an attack while I was in his office. My PO2 dropped to 88 which is my red zone number, but it bounced back quickly after a couple of neb treatments. So he gave me the shot and told me to hit my yellow zone med regime, and if things don't improve (doubtful with the quick bounceback) then it's hospital time come Tuesday. Thanks so much to all of you for being there last night. I'm going to go sit on the sofa and work on an afghan. Might be tricky as I'm on oxygen for a minimum of 8 hours at doc's request, but it's better than landing my tush in a hospital bed! I'll keep you posted! ~
