Guest guest
YES IT MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE! The last skin test I had I was significantly positive for over 50 allergens! I have seen significant improvement thanks to Xolair despite the constant presence of most of the things I'm allergic to! Xolair works by binding to the IgE in our bodies so that the IgE cannot bind to the mast cell and start an allergic reaction. A normal IgE score is 25 or lower. Most of us here have IgE scores 500 and above. Our allergic responses are significantly diminished by taking Xolair. And the potential benefit over the long term is enormous. Doug, my group-co-owner, has had huge side effects from having to take so much pred. I have had significant side effects, but not so bad as he is (but he's older than I am ).
