Guest guest
, Yes I tried trazadone....it has slower onset then say Ambien but the problem I had was the effect (dragging) didn't go away till about 3 pm the next day.....we changed the dose and at a lower dose I was still groggy all day but still couldn't stay asleep. Also, the typical dry mouth, as though you have a mouthful of cotton....yuck. I didn't like it..... Hi group, I was just wondering if anyone has taken Trazadone for insomnia? If so I need to hear what kind of side effects you experienced. george The dog has seldom been successful in pulling man up to its level of sagacity, but man has frequently dragged the dog down to his. Guest guest
Deb, Did you get really irritable on it? I know that grogginess very well, I can be sipping on some very strong coffee in the morning and doze back off to sleep. I just have a tough time sleeping at night, even on the trazadone I keep waking up during the night. This sleep problems have been escalating this week, along with some other issues, magnified by the cold weather effect on my pain level. george The dog has seldom been successful in pulling man up to its level of sagacity, but man has frequently dragged the dog down to his. Guest guest
Absolutely...like taking mean pills. Have you tried ambient CR? I have the same cold weather and wet weather issues.....even plain old ambien for me works well...my only problem is sleep eating on it..but for those that wake up even on ambient they made ambient CR. Guest guest
, Be really careful taking this drug, especially if you take an antidepressant too. My mom has taken paxil for years, without any problems but when her GP added trazadone, it made her crazy! She had a complete break with reality and still has no memory of that time. It messed with her head and then she took too many narcotics and ended up loosing several days completely and having a complete inpatient workup to rule out stroke, seizures, aneurisms and so on. Good luck and God bless, Lexie
Guest guest
I take Trazadone and I must be one of the fortunate ones. I sleep for a change!! As far as the drugged in the morning feeling, it's no worse for me than having sleepless nights! > > , > Be really careful taking this drug, especially if you take an antidepressant too. Guest guest
Thank ya'll for the info, Lexie it messed with me at first, I was loosing days, but sleeping like a baby, only I have to sleep in the recliner for now, and I was sleepy all the time, but I think I am past that now. I am taking perks every 6 hours, and that 325mg acetaminophen keeps me wide awake. I missed 3 doses of trazadone in a row and it really messed with me when I went back on them. Again, thanks to all for the help, I hope ya'll see more pain free days. george The dog has seldom been successful in pulling man up to its level of sagacity, but man has frequently dragged the dog down to his. Guest guest
I've taken Trazadone for over 7 years now. Only now and then when needed. I sleep better and I don't get any aweful side affects like the sleep medications on the market. Lunista was the worst. Trazadone is cheap too.
