Guest guest
On Oct. 22nd I had a spinal fusion between L4 & L5 in what they call a minamally invasive procedure. They made me leave the hospital before I felt I was ready. 2 weeks after surgery I collapsed after a huge spasm and fortunately was caught by my boyfriend who was visiting. I spent 2 frustrating days filled with spasms trying to get help. The nurse at the clinic said to take another muscle relaxer. I convinced her to send a nurse to my home to evaluate me. She immediatleu called 911 and was boarded up and taken via ambulance to the hospital where I stayed for rehab for a week. It is now Dec. 1 and by now I should be back to work according to the picture painted by my doctor. I am still in lots of pain and only walk carefully with a walker. I am not driving yet. I live part time with my two teens and feel so dependent. Everything I do takes so long. Can anyone share their experiences with recovery from this procedure? Thanks!
