Guest guest
Addy, By law your company has to offer you health insurance through COBRA. You'd have to pay for it, but at least you'd be able to continue the Xolair. Leaving a moldy environment seems like a very good choice, by the way. Best, Meryl Gave 4 weeks' notice. It was a really hard decision, but I don't see how I can work 45+ hours per week, most of them in an old building with mold, and continue to have my sanity. I just can't keep going on pred. I'm not nearly as tolerant of it as I used to be. Even I have to miss some Xolair doses until I get health insurance again or whatever, it will be better for me in the long run. I'm pretty much at peace now that I have made a decision...I couldn't stand waffling over it like I have the last month. Guest guest
Addy, It is really hard to give up a job, but I think you made the right decision. If you don't feel good you can't do as good a job as you want to and it sounds like you can't get any better being around the mold in the old building. I'll bet when you get away from the mold and get some rest you'll get to feeling much better. You are right about wanting to get off the pred too, I know it really effects me too. I'm sure if you are wanting to get a different job you'll have no trouble finding one, hopefully in a more healthy environment. But anyway, I just wanted to say " Way To Go " , you've got to take care of your health first. -- - In , " pyle456 " <coachmac@w...> wrote: > > > Gave 4 weeks' notice. Guest guest
hi addy, its definately tough to leave the comfort and security of a job. i commend you. putting your health first is a difficult thing to do, but in the long run it will be worth it. cobra can be a financial strain, but if you can do that to keep the xolair, that would be great. how much xolair is sent to your house/drs office?? my dr gets a shipment every three months, so maybe yours does too (or she could write you a 90 day scrip so your current insurance would cover it. ) good luck!! heather pyle456 <coachmac@...> wrote: Gave 4 weeks' notice. Guest guest
Addy, Sorry to hear you have had to make such a tough decision. Changing a job is never easy, and leaving a job for health reasons has got to be tough. Hang in there. Greg > > > Gave 4 weeks' notice.
