xolair and food testing...

i'm not sure if i've asked this already -- i'm guessing not since i

still feel pretty clueless.

i've had some issues with my eyes (especially my right eye) swelling

overnight to the point where i almost cannot see out of it. i

assumed it was a sinus thing, and my ENT confirmed that at a point,

the eyes may swell due to the sinuses being backed up.

my eye swelled up again wed night/thursday morning. i had an appt

for my xolair thursday afternoon, and there was no hiding it from

the dr. she looked, poked, questioned...after a bazillion questions

(activities, diet and locations in the past 24 hours) she thinks i

may again be allergic to corn. (it seems logical, but i'll spare you

the details...just take my word).

she wants me to eliminate corn from my diet (which is so difficult)

for the next few weeks, and see what happens. the problem is, the

eye swellig thing happens a lot, but it can go weeks or months

without it happening, and then all of a sudden it will happen more

than once a week. there's no rhyme or reason to it.

question is -- since being on xolair, has anyone had allergy

testing, either RAST or scratch testing? i'm wondeirng how accurate

it would be.

if this is an allergy issue, then what's the xolair doing??

vacationing in the bahamas? is this just too much for it to handle?

it doesen't happen only when the xolair is wearing off, since i had

the same issue the day after xolair last time. its just weird.

thanks for any insight you may have.
