Guest guest
Hi, Well this will be a long one, so here it goes, alot of venting! Be Prepared! I arrived 45 minutes early. I allowed myself a little time since I had no idea where I was going. I got to the building, went to the thrid floor and found an othro dr in suite 308. I called the number I had for them and they said that was the correct office. They share one with the ortho. I said ok, thought that was a little weired. I saw the dr and I had a whole list of questions for him. I know he probably found me a little annoying, but I do not care. This is my body and I need to know this information before I let him cut me open. He said that he does at least 2-3 spinal fusions every week. He said it is a 2-3 hour surgery. He said that the results for me will be varied due to my weight. He said that he generally will ask his patients to lose some weight first and even advised me to not do the fusion and do the gastic bypass surgery first. I said that my insurance will not pay for the bypass. I asked him, well do you want to do it or not because I need to know. He said that he would but for me not to except instant results. What happened to the positive thinking? So again, everything is blamed on my weight. I am so fed up with this! They say I can't have children because of it, they say that the pain in my leg is from it. Good thing I do not smoke or drink. They would find another thing to blame it on. My conclusion is that I am going to have the surgery. They will call me on Monday to schedule it. I will post then and let everyone know. Take Care and have a wonderful pain free Thanksgiving!
