Guest guest
The one that really bugs me the most... I enjoy contra dancing, it's an absolute blast! It's a bit rigorous, but not overly so. Compare the activity level to square dancing, plus I'm one of the more " strong " dancers, when I allemand with someone, I give them a bit of muscle instead of a limp wrist! ....Will I be able to dance again? Is there danger of more pain, or worse, danger of harming myself? Yes, I have been knocked off my feet before by other tired dancers, and I've done the same once or twice myself when I was tired! (When we're tired, sometimes we just tangle up.) I thought I read somewhere there is some danger of quadriplegia with cervical stenosis... but the Mayo Clinic website doesn't even mention it. My neurosurgeon's nurse didn't want to commit when I called last week to ask her. Do you think they'll tell me what my risks are, so that I understand? Blessings and thanks to all, Rita. Guest guest
Oh Rita...don't get yourself freaked out. Most people live with some level of stenosis or disc damage and never have problems. Like I said before in my previous post. Be careful with your movements, to avoid herniation and damage. But, for the most part...as long as your pain is controlled. You should be fine. It is better to be hated for who you are than liked for who you aren't.
