HI, I was wondering what the name of the stimulator is so I can ask my surgeon

about it. I have chronic leg pain (right) for the past eight years. I am up for

spinal fusion next month. If this can help with the pain, I will be able to

exercise and diet better and lose weight so the fusion may not be done. Thanks.

Where do you get one? How do you use it? How much does it cost?

Allie (new member -- I haven't ever posted before but very interested in

something that will take 100% of my leg pain away.)

and it takes 100 percent of my leg pain away. Puts a tens unit to

shame. "

Dawn,

I have the medtronic spinal cord stimulator...the company can send you info

or your docs office if they insert them will have. Let me tell you most

surgeons would tell you to have a fusion rather then a stimulator. I also

need to have a fusion.....but for now that is on the back burner cause for

right now I am not having pain, They normally do a trial....if it helps

great they implant. If it doesn't help no harm no foul them remove it. You

cant say that with a fusion. I would tell the doc just that,,,.,if you have

a lot of weight to loose that could cause fusion failure, Even if you get

the stim.....and it helps with the pain so that you can loose the extra

weight..that sounds like a perfect plan to me.....
