I really hoped to make it to the post office today, but my 5 yr old decided that today of all days she was going to take a nap so I missed that " window of opertunity " to go. I hope to be able to make it tomorrow and get my mail at the post office. I actually have 3 mailing addresses, 2 post office boxes and my home address. I use one of the PO boxes for packages the other for old mail (old city we lived in will put anything that needs to be forwarded in it since the forward is expired). > > Exercise: I actually did it today! Oh yes...exercising thru the pain.... my left knee (behind it) kind of in the calf area has been a bit tight the past couple of days, but it isn't constant so I am thinking it is just a crampy muscle. I know that I really need to improve on my calcium and potasium intake. I used to get charlie horses all the time while I was pregnant because I wasn't getting enough of either then and I was taking supplements. I'm glad all my exercising is inspiring (guilting) some a

This was the second mechanic to work on it, the guy who was supposedly the expert on this type of repairs. Gee, I only have one PO box and since I no longer participate in crafting swaps, will drop that when it's due later this year. > > Exercise: I actually did it today! And I did even more today! Seeing yesterday and writing about the Sweatin to the Oldies video whet my appetite for it, and I did the whole darn thing with only slight modification. With my knees I don't do The Twist as shown but something similar. It's enough to make my tummy muscles ache! Usually I would fast forward right through Great Balls of Fire and WipeOut, or just walk through those songs, but today I did the steps as shown. Now *I'm* Wiped Out! LOL >I used to get charlie horses all the time while I was pregnant Now that I'm peri-menopausal, I keep getting the most awful cramps in my feet! They start at the big toe and work their way up across the foot and into the ankle. Oh, do they hurt! Usually they happen in the middle of the night and wake me out of a dead sleep, too. My lab work was okay, so the podiatrist had me try quinine tablets. All they did was give me palpitations. One thing that *does* work is the progesterone cream I use twice a day. I'm supposed to use it 3 weeks on, one week off, and the weeks off, I'm in agony almost every night. My podiatrist's mother also gets these foot cramps and like me can't stand the quinine, so after I told the doc how well the progesterone worked for me, he had her try it. Sure enough, it not only stopped her foot cramps but made her feel a bit better overall and she's even sleeping better. She's been past menopause for a few decades already, but messed up hormones can be blamed for so many little things. I;m glad she proved I;m not weird with the cream stopping the foot cramps. >I'm glad all my exercising is inspiring > (guilting) some Now you see why I told you to keep posting, even when you thought it wasn't doing any good. Maybe the wires melted and they will have to replace them and that'll fix the problem?!? I know I'm sure your not that lucky but it would be nice if it would fix the problem huh? > Gee, I only have one PO box and since I no longer participate in crafting > swaps, will drop that when it's due later this year. Well, the close one is really for Ebay, but I haven't sold anything on there since Janurary. I was doing pretty good business last fall selling my husbands comic book collection. I still have part of it sitting next to me. I should get back to it, but I just can't get motivated until the kids are back in school. I also don't trust our mailman to deliver packages (we've had a few things " lost " ) so it just works out to keep that one for now. > > > > Exercise: I actually did it today! > > And I did even more today! I like to be able to keep track of my miles, but I think it would be nice to have some varriety. > Usually I would fast forward right through Great Balls of Fire and WipeOut, > or just walk through those songs, but today I did the steps as shown. I already have had enough problems with my hormones for a life time! There are days I think I should just take my first ob/gyns advice after being diagnosed with ovarian cancer and have a total hysterectomy now that I'm done having kids, but I just can't bring myself to doing it, and my gyn/onc said it isn't necessary. > Now you see why I told you to keep posting, even when you thought it wasn't > doing any good. Guest guest
Just wanted to thank all of you who have been responding to my posts and apologize that I haven't replied to many of you yet. I've just been having a really rough week - physically, still recovering from breast surgery of 9/10, I'm supposed to be sedentary and resting. That hasn't happened once since I walked out of the hospital 4 hrs post-op. I'm trying to get ready for the diskectomy next Monday (having to coordinate the written short and long term scripts between my surgeon and pain mgmt clinic - having to drive over an hr one way to each of these lovely offices because they refuse to call anything in or mail Rx's.....grrrrr). Between my anemia infusions and all of these downer pain meds, I think I can be fairly described as a walking zombie. Emotionally, I'm absolutely spent with depression; getting really tired of feeling like I keep getting kicked in the teeth every time I try to find the positive in any of my recent circumstances. I never was any good at puzzles or games, so having to learn how to play the US Social Security/Disability claim game is p-*-s-s-i-n-g me off royally. Visited 2 lawyers since Friday, 1 for the car wreck and the other today to inquire about collecting SOME source of income. Man, am I sounding like a crab a$$ or what?! Sorry, y'all. I'm having a moment...again. Wow, I'd better quit here before the motor mouth with a bad attitude becomes unstoppable. Anyway, I wanted to acknowledge, thank, and let you all know that I am reading everyone's responses. I'm getting a lot of great input and different viewpoints, and I appreciate each and everyone of you...and I promise to try to catch up before the weekend's over. Maybe even with a happier sense of being?! But please don't expect too much on the " happy " front...LOL. Please stay tuned. Guest guest
My goodness Patty, do not be so critical of yourself...K Reread your e-mail here... You have jumped over hurdle after hurdle here and you are questioning your attitude.... Give yourself some GRACE......take a deep breath, breath in.... breath out.... Sometimes we have to vent.... Venting is a good thing....! What your are sharing is your challenges, your frustrations.... We give you a hug and come along side of you....and want you to know we feel your frustration....we are going through similar... CRAP....opps, did I say that? I got a letter from SSI and it was so bad I can't even begin to share the garbage they wrote, basically saying they don't think I am hurt or was hurt....they are saying I basically have a sprain in my back, and some slight nerve issues... Gee, I am now recovering from back surgery....interesting how they pervert the truth and slap you in the face with there garbage, like we are messed up in our thinking rather than our physical injuries... Anyway, want to encourage you to hang in there...
