I don't think I am getting accurate information from surgeons for one

reason or another.... So I was wondering if anybody else that has

had neck surguries (or problems) has or has had this problem.

They tell me that my neck is stable, but some days, like today, if I

move my head to one side.... instant numb shoulder and upper arm....

move my head back upright..... not numb. Move my head

again..numb..upright again..not numb. Get the picture?? To me it

doesn't seem that my neck would be stable if it does this.

I've had this problem off and on for almost a year. But some days it

doesn't do it at all. Some days it's REALLY bad. And I have the

similiar thing with my back. Only similiar though. I have a perment

numb big toe, top of my foot and shin from my herniated disc in my

back that was operated on last year.(twice) And activity such as

walking or sometimes just sitting, will make the numbness worse and

sometimes pain along with the numbness.

I just don't understand why the doctors usually act like I didn't

even say anything to them when I tell them about this. Like I was

talking to a wall. This doesn't come from my PCP, just the

surgeons. I was just wondering if others with similiar neck and/or

back problems have this same thing happen to them. I guess I'm

trying to find out if this is normal or not, or is indicitive of a

problem.... I'm just dumbfounded and confused.
