Guest guest
Has anyone heard of the new Procedure being done in Florida? It is a 5 day out patient program where they do non-invasive endoscopic laser surgery on your discs and by 5pm that evening you can walk as if you never had back problem. This is what they claim. I have an HMO and found out that they have a surgeon that does it in Northern Illinois. I would love to give it a try if the HMO would pass it and if I knew of anyone that has had or knows anyone that has had this done. I have major herniated discs in all three regions of the spine, facet problems, stenosis, Smorels Nodes, etc. One of the herniations is so bad that it is pressing against the spinal cord. My HMO GP will not even allow me to have therapudic massage. He said that it could paralize me. I tried to do the exercise mention in one of the other posts and I am dieing in pain. I gave up on the Norco because I have an addiction problem. Also, it did not begin to address the nerve pain anyway. Now they want to send me to a pain clinic. The Problem: It is up in Chicago in a bad neighborhood. I will not go there alone and need a driver anyway for spinal blocks. My 85 year old mother lives with us. Each time that I left her totally alone she mamaged to fall in the kitchen. Can't go there again. Chicago is pretty far from where I live. I take Neurotin and Backlofan for the pain and also have a tens unit. I was hoping that maybe someone had had this laser surgery or knew someone that did and how it turned out. Thank you very much, Cheryl in Illinois unit. It doesn't have enough electrodes for my problems. I hate to keep moving them for it wears out the electords very fast. There are no buses going from Wilmington, Illinois to Chicago. A taxi out here is $75 an hour. I also suffer from COPD and have a very bad cough lqtely. It isjjj hwhhhhhhhhhhh
