THANK YOU! I took as many notes as I could and he did use the term " brain

shearing " , I just couldn't jot it down fast enough and by the time I'd left

out, I forgot what he called it. And boy am I glad that someone else has

actually heard of it because this neurologist was just SO packed FULL of

information, supporting all of my (nonmedically trained) theories; by the time

the appt

was over I was crying hysterically because I'd finally found someone with

answers. It felt so surreal that I was trying to figure out if he was for real

or just took too much acid as a teenager (LOLOLOL, kidding - but you know what

I mean, yes?). I'm still trying to figure out how to find some background

info on this dr to make sure he isn't a quack. It's just too weird to finally

hear everything I was thinking coming from a trained doctor, 1 out of 14+

doctors. So I *should* be happy to get confirmation, but because he and I are

the

only two who think alike, instead I am wondering if I'm making all of this

up in my own twisted little mind. And what really blows my mind is that I

didn't offer anything first and have him come back with positive

confirmations...he actually said it all first.

Okay. I'm sorry, I'm just so excited that someone finally believes me and is

" proof positive " that such a thing exists.

Yes, I most definitely feel that I have 2 independent issues happening at

the same time. The thing that concerns me is having the fusion and then it

potentially compromising the ability to treat and heal the numbing and

tingling.

But I have been in escalating pain for so long now that I'm desperate for

relief. I'm aware that fusions may lead to the need for additional surgeries

due

to weakening the areas above and below it. The neurologist is willing to

keep me on and work with me, regardless of my decision to fuse in 11 days or

not. His practice is also a pain clinic.

By the way - going back to my last saga with the pain clinic I fired, I am

STILL waiting for a reply from the grievance coordinator. They have 1 more week

to finish their investigation with the PA-C then I'll be turning up some

heat - BIG TIME.

Regarding the walking and cold weather. I never have done well in cold

weather, even as a child, so there is no good time for me to do this in the

immediate future and I'm not willing to wait 5+ more months to warm up. I have a

fabulous treadmill and a Pilates bench in my storage unit that will be coming

home soon. We are in the midst of adding to our house and actually built a gym.

Sadly we are way behind schedule so I may not get these items out before

surgery (the brilliant movers stored them in the nose of the 10'x20' unit after

I specifically told them to keep the gym equipment near the door).

In any event, I LOVE to walk so that shouldn't be too much of a problem. I

am slightly concerned about weak upper body strength. Guess I'll just have to

do my best - it's all I've got!

Thanks for the reply. I appreciate your input!

Best regards,

Patty A

Reassess. Yes. I think I agree. I was in such a hurry to have 2 surgeries in

Sept and both of them failed. I blame myself daily for having been so hasty.

I tried forcing physical changes on my body in a specific time period, but my

body reminded me of who's boss. After all, our bodies are supposedly God's

temples, aren't they?! I should learn from that mistake.

And God bless you, Mr. Ivan. You're so incredibly thoughtful and caring. I

pray that you are justly acknowledged and rewarded in kind. Thank you for your

support.
