Guest guest
Hi Shayna, You can hire an attorney at any point, and they don't charge the normal charge other cases get. For SSD they can only charge 10% of your award. And that percentage is from your check you get when you are approved because it is retroactive from the day you applied. Then they get ten percent of that check. Well it is supposed to be from the day you applied. I know some people get it from the day they applied and some don't. I didn't and I don'tknow why, or I'm not remembering the reason. I'm so sorry you didn't get approved, I know that can be depressing, especialy this time of the year...... I'm sending you beams and beams of sunshine! You'll need shorts and a tank top in a little bit! LOL Hope the rest of your evening is good. Sue. > > Alright, I need some sunshine right now. Guest guest
I got turned down three times. I have an appt with a lawyer the first of the year. It is very disappointing because you worked all your life, paid taxes and now you need the help and they tell you no!!! I would talk to a lawyer anyways, all he can say is no. Dawn E. Guest guest
I know Dawn, it seems so senseless in how they do things, it just does not make sense. I wish I could remember the name of the place that got me approved. Mine went to a hearing, and after that I was approved. Ahhh.... Kennedy and Associates!!! LOL a little ephifany there. ha ha They are in New York. The phone company I worked for here in Michigan hired them for me when I became disaabled. I had just phone contact with them, through the whole thing, then when I went to the hearing the attorney flew out for it. I wish you luck with that, and hope it is not too trying on you. Take care. Guest guest
Good luck to you Dawn. This is just my first turndown, I can't imagine being turned down three times. I was heartbroken just being turned down the first time. I wish you much luck and hope you are able to get approved. Shayna It is better to be hated for who you are than liked for who you aren't.
