Guest guest
Two years ...you must have the patients of an angel! Welcome by the way! I was only diagnosed hypo in June, but I've always read a lot and asked " way to many questions " . August 6 I went to my doctors appointment, and managed talking him in to prescribing me some T3 ...he probably only did it to get rid of me :-) My holiday was coming up and I was just about to cancel it all due to how I felt.

A week after I started my new medications, I felt like a new person - aches and pains gone, not so tired anymore, the brain-fog seemed to drift away ...actually I think it's years since I've felt that good.

Of course, it's a lot more hassel with the T3. It has to be stored dry and out of sun, it's not supposed to be taken with any meals (and some food you should totaly avoid), and because the halfing-time is a lot shorter than with the T4 you ought to be scheduled in a much more rigid way than with the T4. Though, I've managed and that means there should be a hope for anyone :-)
and ...most important, it's worth it!

Good luck, I hope you'll get better soon!

smiling_bee

I am in my 5th week of my first challenge, and these women have been great inspiration and support for me. Just remember, as I think someone just said recently, KISS! is the best answer (Keep It Simple Stupid) because as far as I can tell, BFL works great when you follow the book. Again, good luck and we look forward to hearing from you! Jana

Guest guest
Hi All Just a quick look at the list and I realize my problems are not all that bad. I have arthritis(lower back pain) and being older with general wear and tear, work related, and gravity related. My main thing is to keep my pain bareable so I can keep working as close to full time as possible. I had 3 epidurals which helped, but may go for a rhizotomy (sp). I also noticed I'm the 1,000 member and does that qualify for some sort of prize........lol Anyway,I belong to other support goups for other non back related stuff and hope I can keep up here with the posts which I read from the site. I work full time and dib dab in e-bay and family tree DNA. Thanks and Hi to all.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Tom in Michigan, usa. ps. I have Harley Sportster and It's one of the things I love and hope to be able to keep riding it for a few more years, even though I have to take a pain pill usually when I ride.
