Guest guest
Shirl, a member of this group, and I often write to each other privately, and sometimes these letters bring up things that I wish to share with all of you. Shirl is a dear friend who I care about very much, as she struggles with the ill effects of her saline implants. Many of us suffer with digestive troubles, and aloe vera juice, preferable organic, is one remedy that I think is often overlooked. I myself try to drink this juice and my goal is about a half cup daily. (I don't make it too often!) It tastes pretty nasty by itself, but mixed with juice, it is sometimes palatable. My husband can drink it straight, however. Sometimes I just hold my nose and down the whole cup as quickly as I can. I wanted to point out two things that I think are relevant. Dr. Weil, in his book Spontaneous Healing tells the story of a man, Luja, who had scleroderma. This man went the typical allopathic medicine route, using a cortisone cream and taking prednisone pills. He continued to get worse, however, and the family just accepted that he would die of this disease. didn't accept that prognosis though. He did his own research, and found that there were natural remedies that might help him. He washed the affected skin with vinegar. He ate lots of fresh lemons. And he drank aloe vera juice by the gallon. He drank it every day of his life. He also got on high doses of Vitamin E, taking 5,000 IU of Vitamin E a day for two weeks. The book doesn't say if he continued this amount of Vitamin E, but it did testify to the fact that the scleroderma started to go away within 6 months. After two years it was gone, and never came back. He still eats lemons and drinks aloe vera juice and in his words," I try not to go to doctors." Another book I have (The Owner's Manual for the Human Body, by Dr. Saul Pressman) has this to say about aloe vera juice: "Early in this century, Dr. Carl Rosenow of the Mayo Biological Laboratories began a series of experiments in which he took distinctive bacterial strains from a number of disease sources and placed them in one culture of uniform media. In time, the distinctive strains all changed and became one uniform class, indistinguishable one from the other. By repeatedly changing cultures, he could individually modify bacterial strains, making harmless ones "pathogenic" and, in turn, reverse the process. Dr. Rosenow concluded that the critical factor controlling the nature of the bacteria was the food and the environment they lived on. These discoveries were first published in 1914 in the Journal of Infectious Diseases. Rosenow's work was corroborated and expanded upon about two decades later by Royal R. Rife, developer of the fabled Universal Microscope, with a resolution of 150,000 power. This precision instrument made living bacteria and viruses visible. Rife showed that by altering the environment by adding adrenaline, friendly bacteria such as bacillus coli could be converted into the "pathogenic" bacteria known as typhoid, then into viral forms associated with polio, then tuberculosis, then cancer. Rife observed that the process could be reversed backwards to harmless bacillus coli by adding long chain sugars, such as are found in aloe vera. " If any of you are like me, this statement caught my attention! And makes me want to go out and buy several more gallons of aloe vera juice! Another thing I wanted to point out was again, the time factor involved in healing, for those of you who are still early on in this journey. Have patience....it will take the better part of two years to really begin to heal fully, where you can say you are back to your old self. So, buy some aloe vera juice, drink up and stay positive in your thoughts about it all! By the way, the last gallon of aloe vera juice I bought was at Trader Joe's, for those of you who have them near you, and it was $6.99 a gallon for ORGANIC aloe vera juice! That was a ganga....
