Guest guest
Hello Its been awhile since I've read my list and just now found your comment on my stim or pump question. 1st of all, thanks for responding. Unless there are not many out there that have tried either the pump or stim, I was hoping to have received more responses on my question on people's experiences with the stim vs pump. Oh well....I know I need to research this issue but frankly I've always been a believer in getting people's actual experiences combined with my research to come to a conclusion. Do you have either one? I did not know if the insurance would cover both but then again I've paid so much into ins. that they should pay for this and more LOL. Take care, soft hugs and again, thanks for your response. Tina > > > > > > Hi: > > > > > > Does anyone know if a Neuro can tell if a pain pump vs. stim is > > better for a person? > >. Guest guest
I had the choice between the pump and the Stim. I choose the stim because back in 94 when I got my stim they used demerol and morphine in the the people looked so spaced out I can't tolerate either drug. I still have my spinal stim implant it has been changed to more modern systems 3 times. I love me stim it helps me pain at least 65% from not havin it. Right now I don't need it as much because I just had my nerves burned from T11 to S1 plus both hips. I have severe nerve damage in both legs and my back from my first Dr messin me up so bad. The PMP I have now spends his time fixin what he can and tryin to control the pain and the stim does that. You have 4 programs that you use to change the pulses of the electrial shocks I have mine where it rolls up and down my legs another that is like a soft cat pumpin you lgs with no nails lol.I don't know much about the pumps except they have come a long way they mix different meds together to make you comfortable without making you spaced out. If I can help you just let me know Terry
