Guest guest
Hiya Kay.... First off I want to say on a personal note....I've been there....I was diagnosed at the age of 10 and it advances RAPIDLY when you hit adolesence (I'm 35 now). The first doctor told me I'd die.....his words to my parents were " her spine will twist...she will become paralyzed...and eventually her ribs will puncture her heart and lungs and she will die...but she will be a vegetable long before then " ....imagine that coming out of a doctor's mouth to folks who could only have one child!!! The second doctor saved me.....unfortunately he's retired now and his then apprentice is an ass and I'm currently looking for another scolio doc. I thought I'd look up a few addresses for you. Do a search on and on Google too...be prepared for a LOT of reading....I was the first in my town to be diagnosed...afterward...when folks asked their family docs to check it was surprising how many children were affected in some form or fashion..some they don't know how and some (like me) are genetic. I have 2 younger cousins with Scoliosis. http://my.webmd.com/content/article/78/95637.htm http://www.scoliosis.com/ http://www.srs.org/ http://www.scoliosis.org/ Good look and I'll be praying for you and your family! Guest guest
Hi Kay... If you have small to moderate curve(s) (less than 50 degrees), you might want to check out physical therapy or alternative therapies for pain management. If your curve(s) is/are higher than that, surgery is certainly a possibility. If you let us know how large your curves are, and where you live, I'm sure we can come up with some recommendations. My doctor told my parents (I'm an only child too) and myself that I would twist around, and develop a hunchback! (I had an S curve, had no pain, it was just discovered on a chest X-ray). He told my parents that with the bone fusions, I would be " pain free and straight my whole life.) This was in 1965. No pamplets about Scoliosis, but he did have photos of other patients. When I had my 5th operation this year, my father cried with me when I said, " Why do I keep having this? Why do the operations never work? Why don't they fix it? " (The last time I saw my father cry was when Kennedy was assassinated. He had traveled with him as a reporter, and was phoning in the story in the hotel when it happened.) My mother died a few years ago, and I'll bet if she could, one of the first things she did was confront my Doctor, who also passed on.... :-) Maybe some day I'll know the " why " . Guest guest
> Hi! I was the same age as you...42 years old when I had my scoliosis surgery. I was very fortunate to find a wonderful spine specialist. His name is Dr. Lloyd Hey and he is at Duke University Medical Center in Durham,NC. He is moving his practice(Hey Clinic) beside Duke Raleigh Hospital in Raleigh,NC. I couldn't be happier with the outcome of my surgery! He is sought out by patients all over the world. He is a wonderful Christian doctor. If you would like to know more about my surgery, or if you have questions concerning Dr. Hey please feel free to email me. Also, you can go to his website www.lloydhey.com. Once there click on " Patient Stories " and then click on " Twisted Sister " ...that is my story. Guest guest
There's a dentist by the name of Jerry in Pennsylvania, near Philadelphia, who works with this successfully I understand. What he does is supports the feet to balance pelvis and then test the cranium--- he's gifted with his sense of touch and hands and can tell where the problem is coming from in the teeth. He uses a simple procedure of layering a thin coating of a nontoxic bonding agent. He also works with other types of testing but if the structure isn't sound, it's hard for supplements to work,. is Rotella, M.Ac., CNC In qxci-english , " Dwight " <openingup@...> wrote: > > Hi folks, > > I just got a client who has Scoliosis and is asking for some help. > > Does anyone have any information or protocal that has helped someone dealing with scoliosis? > > I've look back in these group messages but didn't find anything so far. > > Thanks > Dwight >
Guest guest
The machine can help with these imbalances in the Muscle location of Timed Therapies (use the Wholistic Organ restorer too while there) in Spinal as well as the Spinal page listing that says "muscle" but the best to do is to know which muscles are affected in the location of the spine first. We can see some ideas here from the test matrix under muscles to see those which are showing signs of two much stress (red) and to little energy (low blue) and therapy can be done there too, you can also use a pad, or roller to help pinpoint. You will need to work on the Spine and do that (Test & Treat Trivector Energy Flow) and link the Emotions with the NEC. AS well as use the autonomic nerval system in Activate Frequency Modulations Program. Now, that you know the names of these "main problem areas of the spine" when you go into the AFM program to work on the ANS you can also use the Trivector Patterns panel. Type in one of the major muscles in the white box and when you do it will bring up a TEST and Treat button above the name click it to do the therapy and test the muscle...very detailed and precise. If this is not enough contact me off line for a product which can help here quickly, it is not a item for this machine so I will keep it off line. Yours in Health, Kathy Scoliosis Hi folks, I just got a client who has Scoliosis and is asking for some help. Does anyone have any information or protocal that has helped someone dealing with scoliosis? I've look back in these group messages but didn't find anything so far. Thanks Dwight
Guest guest
The emotions all wind up in the spine. So take a look where the curve is and go from there. is Rotella, M.Ac., CNC > > Hi folks, > > I just got a client who has Scoliosis and is asking for some help. > > Does anyone have any information or protocal that has helped someone dealing with scoliosis? > > I've look back in these group messages but didn't find anything so far. > > Thanks > Dwight >
Guest guest
Dwight, Kathy Willson had introduced me to SCENAR Technology. I was diagnosed with scolosis over 20yrs ago and have been doing everything alternative (ie. no bracing or rods) to stablize the spine and at best reverse the scolosis. For the past 3 months i have been diligently working with the SCENAR (ie every day treatment with exercise) and we have seen visiable changes!!!! This is a first ever!! There are many SCENARS on the market the true SCENRS can be found through Mediscen.ca. I have been working with AcuScan and DOVE Caruso > > Hi folks, > > I just got a client who has Scoliosis and is asking for some help. > > Does anyone have any information or protocal that has helped someone dealing with scoliosis? > > I've look back in these group messages but didn't find anything so far. > > Thanks > Dwight >
Guest guest
I have two friends with scoliosis who have had remarkable results with the Bowen Technique. My husband was cured of his sciatica pain, and I have no back pain after twenty years of back and neck pain. It is very powerful. And no, I am not a Bowen therapist, just a grateful recipient of their services. I have googled some sites which may be helpful. As you can see the first one is a government sponsored site. http://www.betterhealth.vic.gov.au/bhcv2/bhcPDF.nsf/byPDF/Bowen_therapy/$File/Bowen_therapy.pdf http://www.boweninfo.com/scoliosis.htm http://www.bewellnow.ca/scoliosis.html http://scoliosis.homestead.com/ http://www.bowen.org/NewSite/testimonials.html http://www.healthandgoodness.com/Therapies/bowen-technique.html Variations such as NST are available throughout north America and Europe. Below is an article by Mercola on his site: http://www.mercola.com/nst/explain.htm and others about NST: http://www.nsthealth.com/ http://www.bowen.asn.au/html/index.php?name=News & file=article & sid=25 & theme=Printer Alll the best. Guest guest
Hi Anya The Scenar mainly measures skin resistance, although it is classified as a biofeedback device and the frequency range that is sent back into the body is much less than the QXCI / EFPX Having said that I do find it to be a useful tool in the armoury to help people. Think of it as the great grandchild of a Tens machine :+) You can see a 5 min demonstration / interview of a Scenar on a recent Irish television programme if you go to www.LifepHorce.com home page You can pay anywhere from £200 to £2000 for a device....I've come across a dozen manufacturers Mark -----Original Message-----From: qxci-english [mailto:qxci-english ]On Behalf Of anya larsenSent: 13 December 2006 19:43qxci-english Subject: Re: Re: Scoliosis How is the Scenar different from the epfx? what is the price? thankyou, anyaducedog12 <ducedog12 > wrote: Dwight, Kathy Willson had introduced me to SCENAR Technology. Guest guest
I was very interested in your comment about the Scenar so I forwarded it on to Keetley of Enlightened Therapies who works and supplies the Enar and the Scenar in Australia and abroad it is truely amazing and he sent me the photos of the work that has been done with scoliosis. They have also done research at the Macquarie University in Sydney with pain management.... please email him for the photo or maybe he could send it to the group His website is www.enlightenedtherapies.com regards Re: Scoliosis Dwight, Kathy Willson had introduced me to SCENAR Technology. Guest guest
I have Scoliosis and was diagnosed at 15 yrs with it. I didn't have corrective surgery. I've been doing the Trivector spinal weekly on it for almost a year now. I have less pain and can sit for longer amounts of time without added pain. I have added to that in the last 2 weeks Structural Therapy by a wonderful massage therapist. He is the only one in the USA that does this technic. I no longer have pain in my lower back. He has worked on breaking up the scar tissue and calcium deposits that have built up over the years. Between what he does and the SCIO I am virtually pain free now! 30 years to find relief and no surgery. Guest guest
Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone has scoliosis.I had an injury (08-06)to my upper back and left shoulder, thats the area affected by my severe scoliosis. My Dr. said it was only a pulled muscle. After three monthes,I wasn`t any better. Severe pain many, many Lortabs and Zanaflex,I woke up and went to another Dr.in 10-07.I found out that I now have degenersted discs and spurring on 4 discs in my neck and the next 2 are severly herniated.I`ve had neck and shoulder MRI`s done.I haven`t gotten the news on my shoulder yet.My new Dr.has suggested a possible disc replacement. My worries are that he`s not a scoliosis specialist.Shouldn`t he specialize with scoliosis? I have finally adapted to my condition and not on any pain meds.I wake up terrified thinking that I`ll be worse off than I am now. Also,my deteriorated health with extremely high blood pressure makes me wonder if I could even survive surgery.Has anyone been there? Please advise. Thank You.
