Guest guest
, I'm in Rhode Island and yes, this rain is killing me. Last winter I bought a barometer as it will show the pressure drop a good day before the rain starts. It helps me get the anti-inflammatories in before it starts. I think I was the one you were saying who said my pain at a 4 would be someone else's 8. I wish I had thought of that when the docs asked me what my pain levels were. Also, I'm usually better in late am to middle afternoon. By supper time I am stiff and sore. Yes, it's hard when your family just doesn't " get " that you are in pain. Probably because as moms we don't usually writhe around on the floor in agony. We're strong and we just keep on keeping on don't we?--- weather, Pain spinedisorderssuppo rtgroup@gro ups.com Date: Sunday, September 28, 2008, 8:15 AM Hi All Yup.You can get used to pain... but I have an appt. with a pain clinic tomorrow. I was having a bit of a time figuring out what my pain level was on a day to day level??? Somebody on this group said their " 4 " would be another persons " 8 " . Golly Gee, I can relate to that! The last two days, I have had a nor'easter blow thru here and now the remnants of a hurricane. Last night I woke up and did not know whether to cry or throw up, the pain was so bad. I have a brother and a sister who tells my mother that they have pain too, and have been able to " deal with it " (why can't little sister?).... . HELLO. Have they ever woken up and find themselves paralyzed from the waist down???? I tried to get up out of bed and ended up flopping around the floor like a half dead fish. Couldn't pee either. I walk and talk. and more or less pretend I do not have this condition. I look pretty normal. If you saw me at 3am in the morning trying to decide wether to cry or puke from the pain, all I can say is " thank God for books " . Anybody want a bunch of them???? in NH
