Hi there!

I have been dealing with some neck pain which escalated into nerve

pain down the right arm all the way to the fingers. I have been

treated by a chiropractor for 20 cervical spine adjustments with no

avail.

Just recently, I had an MRI and was referred to a Neurosurgeon here in

Baltimore, MD. Turns out that I have a disc herniation C5-C6

(moderate) with osteophytes and severe right sided neural foraminal

narrowing. (it hurts -- bad!) Just sitting is a challenge with the

nerves shooting down the arm!

I meet with him tomorrow. Coincidently, I had a call today from the

Laser Spine Institute who reviewed my MRI findings and say I

definitely can benefit from the procedure. In fact, the surgeon there

said I do not need to have a traditional fusion.

I am not sure what the surgeon will say tomorrow at the appointment at

Good Samaritan hospital, but I have a feeling it will be to have the

traditional fusion.

I was wondering if anyone has been to the Laser Spine Institute and

had success. I read from their website and hear from their doctors

that they have a 90-95% success rate and that recovery is much shorter

than the traditional surgery.

The pain is wicked and has been going on for 6 months. Being a

spinning instructor I am sure hasnt helped things either and the

chiropractic care seemed to make matters worse.

I'd love to hear from anyone who has been to LSI and can give me some

guidance.

Thanks in advance!
