That's great advice for a perfect world...but in my world, I was forced to hold my folded walker on my lap with both hands. I also kept saying "SLOW...SLOW ...SLOW" to an attendent that didn't speek english. Welcome to my world.....................Kathy<bonnie@...> wrote:

A ride in a wheelchair can be very bumpy in an airport. The way to avoid being hurt is to watch the floor and as the attendant pushes you towards a bump or crevice, put your arms on the arm rests of he wheelchair, and putting all your weight on your arms near your elbows, raise your body up so that your tush is not really resting on the chair. It's easy to do and the bumps on the floor won't bother you at all.Bonnie
