Guest guest
Hi ... My appetite has come and gone several times since surgery. I'm not sure why. Like you, when I do eat, I try to eat sensibly. Since you're not at risk for being underweight, I wouldn't worry too much. And remember, there's always Ensure, which is a good way to know you're getting all you need, even when you're not hungry. -- > > Did any of you experience a significant weight change post-surgery? Guest guest
Hi , I too lost a ton of weight during the first six months after recovery. Then one day my body woke up and I gained 30 lbs... but I also had quit smoking for the surgery. C > > Did any of you experience a significant weight change post-surgery? Guest guest
Hi .... Your weight loss could have more to do with the medications you are on rather than the surgery. I was on Fentanyl and Vicoprofen for a number of years. When I was taken off all narcotics my weight was down to 95 lbs. I was put on Megace. Magace is given to patients with significant weight loss (either explained or unexplained). If your weight loss is a major concern you may want to ask your doctor about Megace. Guest guest
Thank you all for your suggestions and advice. While I'm not near being underweight yet, I'm still worried because of how much weight I lost in such a short amount of time (50 lbs in approximately six months overall, with 15 lbs being post-surgery). It wouldn't take me long to get there. I know the medication topirimate is what started the weight loss. I am still taking it post-surgery, so it is probably contributing. Though my weight has accelerated post-surgery, I know that was the main b I'll continue to do my best to eat healthy, nutritious foods, and hope that my weight evenb
