Yes, you need to get someone in there or put him in a home to get the care he needs...

My Mother-in-law is on dialysis... When ever we have a complaint we go through the Dr. that takes care of her for her kidneys... They have been reported four times for improper care of doing the dialysis... Two people were fired and under investigation... They done the procedure wrong and she almost lost her life three time because of it... Two people have died while there on dialysis and that is being investigated also... Hope this helps...

Glad your home...

Love

Helen

They are going to have to hire someone to take care of my dad, I just cant do it. Is anyone here on dialysis? I want to know before I start bitching about it. Take care all of you. Love,

Marta we need to haul out the fly strips before rather than after.

I put up a fly trap and seem to have attracted even more flies! LOL

CIndy lee,

Good to hear from you. Now, send me a pic asap so I can post it.

Your tummy is pretty flat, but only you know about the swim suit

issue. I know it is important to me not to scare small children

when I am suited up.

Hey, did you see Dr.K before or after you got your hernia fixed? It

must have been after, huh? I mean, back in March.

Today I have the boob apt.

Well after seeing your tummy, I wouldnt bother with the expense or

pain. You look fabulous! I can tell you, if I looked that good I

would not have gone thru all this with the Tt and thigh removal!

It was so great seeing you and visiting. This is the best thing the

surgery has given me, great friends who understand how I feel and

It was fun!

============================

Been wondering about this since our dinner. Is it possible that you

do indeed have a hernia...a peek-a-boo small hernia. In march it

was peeking out of the opening and this week it was playing hide-n-

seek? Shrugging shoulders....

It sure was good to see you. Your one of the lucky ones...the tummy

tuck is really an optional decision for you. You look great just as

you are. But nothing wrong with wanting to look better. It is

something that you can decide on and do when the time is right for

you if ever.

Hi Lee! Yaaaay! Good news! I knew Dr. K would be sensible

about the cholesterol meds. I think you're right to wait on your

tuck. You'll know when and if you're ready for it. As to where the

hernia went, maybe the aliens came and took it back? LOL!

Hugs!

Welcome home !!!!!!!!! Yes, rest up! I have been 1 week today

and I am still sore but it gets better each day. I think the plane

ride home was the hardest part. Was just so long and uncomfy. Now, I

am fitting with daily dirahhea ... oh what fun! LOL but the best

part is my one week weigh in is telling me about 15 lbs! I know there

is a difference between Dr. Aceves scales and mine, but no more then

5 lbs. so I am a happy camper!

Fill us all in when you can about your trip. Get plenty of rest and

follow that diet !!!! It gets boring, but trust me it works if you

follow it. And drink your water!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Rob:

Sounds great for you. I am SO glad ... you seem to have come thru

very well. Please do not over do it. Sometimes we feel good and think

that we are fine, then either over eat ... over do ... or lift

something too heavy. THEN WE PAY FOR IT! I am truly glad you skated

thru.

I know, I feel sorta like I have experienced a miracle. I know that

sounds dramatic, but life today and life 10 weeks ago cannot be

compared at all. I hope you feel like this too.

HI Jeannie glad to hear your surgery went well and you can already

feel some improvement from it. That is such a wonderful feeling,

even when you are in the hospital and going thru the surgical pain,

to actually feel some improvement is such joy. I do understand that.

When I woke up and my foot felt better it made me so happy too, even

though my back was killing me and I was pushing my little button to

the max too :) Sorry to hear your family doesn't understand your

pain. I wish people would try and understand more how much pain we

all live with daily. Its so sad that unless people go thru what we

do they just can't understand how much pain we deal with daily. But

that was one of the main reasons I started this group. So those of

us in pain would be able to talk to others who truly understood what

we go thru and be there to support each other. I am so happy you

found the group too and that we can all support each other thru our

daily trials and painful days we have to live with. Take it easy and

pretend you are on vaccation. Watch tv, read some books, use your

hands to do things you enjoy again and try not to do too much. I

know its hard to be so lazy when you really want to be up doing

things BUT you have to give your neck time to heal. Just think of

all the things you will be able to

do again when you are feeling better. So rest and take it easy and

let your neck heal. Will keep praying for a full recovery for you.

Hi Sharon,

So far am doing well, incision has no draining, and vitals are fine, just have

to keep using that thing you have to make the beads move up by breathing in. I

should know the name of it by now-but they said it's really important since I

have COPD now. Nurse said to stay inside, Vegas is more humid than normal and

she said it makes breathing harder. So I feel kind of like a prisoner. Plus

we're having higher temps. than usual, so it's scorching hot outside, like when

you open an oven door. Usually by Oct. we're cooler, but that's a long way from

now, and I " m afraid I'll gain weight from lack of exercise. Did you try anything

like Mederma for scarring?

I was able to make a salad for dinner, and put dishes in DW, but that's all my

husband would let me do, so against my will, I'm behaving. I know it's for my

own good though, at least I can catch up on the years of TV I missed by working

graveyard shift. I'm already an avid reader, was never athletic, so I am really

at a loss on how to fill time. Well, I know things will fall into place, and I

thank all of you for your support and understanding. Thank you
