Guest guest
I asked about Dr. Kostuik because I am considering, if I get Medicaid, going to my brother's orthopedist about my knees, Dr. Wheeless. In the practice is also a spine guy, Dr. Suh, who was fellowship trained by Dr. Kostuik. They have their own physical therapy unit and one PT is a spine specialist. I would like to see him but I figure I won't be able to unless I see Dr. Suh first. I am beginning to think that the problem is in my pelvis/hips. The PT I saw twice earlier this year noticed that they were rotated - one side and rotated forward or back but he couldn't tell which. I have noticed that since revision when I drive my right leg stays straight to be on the gas pedal and feels comfortable. My left leg if I totally relax goes all the way to the door with my knee touching the door. After an hour of driving my knee and leg really start to hurt. I think my pain and tightness in the upper left leg are being caused my the unnatural position of the pelvis/hip/iliac crest. But the real question is...was the iliac crest moved to an unnatural position when the screw was put in or did it move afterward? That is also the screw that toggles which I call loose but not loose enough to do anything about it. I am in vocational rehab now. My counselor is trying to help me find part-time work with my limitations. She told me not to apply with the post office for any more jobs because it is too physical for me. Hopefully I'll find something for income. I have decided I want to pursue my master's in psychology for now. Guest guest
Hi Peggy.... I think your description of your left leg positioning while driving is actually the norm. At least, that's how I've always driven. I'm guessing that you have a knee problem that is aggravated by the position of your leg while driving. Hope you get it figured out.
