That's good that you had good news. Hoping you will continue with your healing.

I have never had " creaking " myself. But I have a lot of " popping " in my lower

back.

> Good morning All - I had my 6 week post-op appointment with Dr Hu

yesterday... & even though I've done few things I wasn't supposed to, I got a

big fat gold star!!! She was very pleased with my walking schedule (I'm up to a

mile a day on my treadmill). She didn't even seem to mind that I drove (five

hours) to my appointment. My healing is going well. She wasn't too happy that

I had to bend forward a little so she could hear my creaking noise...but

understood that living alone has on occasion forced me to do so. OK...now to

the creaking...my pelvis is bolted into place, but my tailbone is not fused to

my pelvis. So, I am creaking at the iliac joints on either side of my tailbone.

My hardware is good & my fusions are good. She was NOT happy about my

wheelchair ride home from my second surgery. So on my next 6 week visit she

will again keep a close eye on my fusions. Other than that, it was a pretty

uneventful visit. She was very happy with my progress & that I am not over

using my pain meds. The appointment may have been uneventful, but traveling

that far so soon after surgery has taken it's toll on me. Today is a " stay in

bed & rest day " . Just wanted to share the good news with you

all...........Kathy
