Guest guest
Hi Joyce... I have never heard of that. Is it possible that it's just the angles? When you get a chance, please ask your surgeon. And, if possible, it would be great if you could take pictures of the xrays so we could all see them. Glad your pain is resolving. Hope it goes all the way! Guest guest
I have read your posts on Dr. Anvari and would like any info you can give. My Family Phys. wants me to have this thing treated. I have been living with it for over 5 yrs now without any treatment and am managing pretty good. She is concerned about the food sitting around in there and the damage. I didn't feel comfortable with the other Thoracic surgeon I met with, but have heard alot of great things about Dr. Anvari. >From: " drgioia75 " <santanagioia@...> >Reply-achalasia >achalasia >Subject: 7 weeks post op >Date: Sat, 16 Jul 2005 03:07:53 -0000 > >Well its been 7 weeks post hellers already and. Guest guest
I worked with Mehran Anvari when he came to do a Fellowship year with us in Adelaide before returning to Canada. He is well-respected and I would have no hesitation in getting his opinion. Hope this helps, Bessell www.gisurgery.net > I have read your posts on Dr. Anvari and would like any info you can give. > My Family Phys. wants me to have this thing treated. Guest guest
, Good luck on Friday. I am sure you will hear good news about your mending body. Its slow business growing bone and stamina. If you are moving around better, then count that as a check box in the " plus " column! It might help you at this point if you rethink what the word productive means to you. For instance if you are given permission to start a new physical activity like water walking or hall or mall walking then any of those activities can take the best part of a morning to accomplish. You still should be resting a few times a day for enough time to rest all the muscles in your body....so with showering, preparing lunch and maybe some of the dinner....you pretty much have a full day. In between there are no doubt bills and the usual paperwork every family has that require your attention....and little time checking in with us. Kams post was right on point. Listen to your body. If you cant imagine undertaking work again in two weeks time then you probably should communicate that to your doctor. Honestly...those that have gone back sooner than 12 weeks are pretty rare in our group. My feeling in the cases of those that did HAD TO do it for financial reasons.....not because they were sitting around feeling swell and under occupied. Try to remember that as Kam just pointed out...those around you only react to how you look....they have little understanding of what is going on inside your body. If you look good and reappear at work...there will be expectations that you are as good as new. Can you meet them? When you feel the answer is Yes....then you are ready...until then realize how hard it will be to " back up the bus " if you return to work too soon. Cant wait to hear abut your check up. Take Care, Cam
