Guest guest
I wasn't a "flat backer", so I didn't respond at first. I am 4 months out from front/back surgery to correct scoliosis, spondylolisthesis (forward and sideways slippage of one vertebra on the other), and lots of stenosis, putting pressure on the cord and nerves. I am a chiropractor, and chiropractic helped me a lot for a long time, as did massage. But especially Activator chiropractic helped me the most. With our backs, I wouldn't let anyone do the twist and pop kind of adjusting. But the Activator can address so much more, is safer, and very gentle. It was when adjustments and massage, and the occasional epidural, plus lots of Tylenol stopped working, and I had pain in both legs much of the time, that I finally agreed to the surgery. The outcome has been very good. So...I do recommend chiropractic adjustments, but with the Activator. And also for the person who was recently in the nasty car accident. Best wishes,www.integratedchiropracticservices.com to find info re Activator, or go to www.activator.com to find a practitioner near you.On Apr 6, 2011, at 10:19 AM, beth.baier wrote:In the early onset of flatback/stenosis it did help a little, but he eventually sent me to a neurologist who sent me to PT; he did get my neck in better shape so I no longer had terrible headaches.> > > sorry if this has been asked in the past....just wondering if any of the flatbackers have had an success with a chiropractor and/or a massage therapist?> > thanks!> > > >>
