Guest guest
I had my revision surgery (T1-S1) in March with Dr. Lenke. My recuperation is coming along extremely well except for one thing. Since I came home I have weakness and numbness in my left leg and just a little in my right leg. It's worse when I'm lying in bed at night, I assume from the pressure on my buttocks. Instructions from Lenke's office are to walk-walk-walk and to use ice on the buttocks and heat on the leg. I'm in the process of weaning off the strong drugs but I'm still on oxycodone. I'm a little worried that this might be a permanent condition and I'm wondering if anyone has any advice to offer. Any particular exercises, drugs, etc. that helped? Or is it patience-patience-patience? My followup in St. Louis is scheduled for May 25. Thanks!
