Hello,

I'm just wondering if anyone has ever tried a BioMat while sleeping. Someone

told me awhile back that they have one and it helps with the pain of sleeping

and helps your back. I can't remember the company they purchased it from right

now but I remember that they let you try it out for a few days. I think they are

pretty expensive. Just wondering if it's worth it.

thanks

erica

Hi a,

I never used a Biomat, but if you " google " it you will find the site. After a

quick skim of the site I think I would put this product in the " might help " -

" cant hurt " category. My impression is that for the most part you would feel

some comfort an relief from the heat that your body generates on the mat

itself...as well as the visualization techniques with one of their compatible

products.

I am not poo-poohing the healthy body/healthy mind connection at all in battling

chronic pain etc that goes along with flatback. I actually believe that for many

of us our psychic trauma as children and teens is the first place that needs to

heal. If you already own a good long heating pad, then I would advise you could

try laying on that first and use a good visualization program for " short money "

and see if it helps at all. I used such a program prior to revision and thought

it was the best part of my preparation for surgery.

If those techniques work, then you could decide if you wanted to part with the

better part of 100 of your favorite dollars! I admit I am a skeptic when one of

the main tabs on the products site is encouraging you to become a distributor.

It makes me wonder if they are more interested in preying on vulnerable people

desperate to try anything to relieve pain.

Of course I am very interested to hear if anyone has used the biomat and how it

worked for them.

Take Care, Cam

They do let you try it out for a week before you have to buy it. I wouldn't just buy it otherwise. I can't really afford it right now either though.ericaFrom: Pamela Hanley <campbetty@...> Sent: Tue, February 15, 2011 11:15:34 AMSubject: RE: [ ] Re:

I agree with Cam, be a little skeptical here.... especially if this thing costs a bit of money...that said, I believe in the power of suggestion.Pamela

I know- I guess we're always hoping to find something to help and of course I can't help thinking if it could do some of the things that it suggests that it would be worth the money.I'm just curious to hear if someone else tried it. I asked my friend who owns a yoga clinic and she never even heard of it.ericaFrom: beth.baier <beth.baier@...> Sent: Tue, February 15, 2011 3:36:52 PMSubject: [ ] Re: bioMat

I think you're right to feel skeptical. The website offers "matrix" opportunities as a "distributor" on the same page as a description of the product. That's a red flag in my book.
