Hi all,

I am following Chris' progress on CaringBridge.org. She has made it thro the

1st two stages; anterior lumbar, anterior thoracic. Yesterday's started abt 3.5

hrs late (around 5 p.m.) Her pain has been difficult to manage but today's 7

hour posterior instrumentation phase will include placement of an epidural. She

will go to intensive care once this surgery is completed.

Let me know if you'd like more info. and I'll be happy to share what I know.

Please keep her in your thoughts today. I am, as always, astounded by what our

bodies can endure and the personal strength we all bring to our scoliosis

experiences.

I don't personally know we linked up thro a mutual friend a few months

ago. I've been helping her prepare for her surgeries with all contact over the

telephone. is from Syracuse NY, her ortho doc recommended her to try Dr.

Glazer last fall (around the time of my surgeries). This is her first scoliosis

surgery and I promoted this Scoliosis group to her because of the dedication,

knowledge and straight-forwardness of the members. So even tho she is not a

revision person I thought she'd benefit the most from all of you. If I remember

correctly, I think is near my age (fifty-something).
