Hi,

I have more problems with my eyes when I get hypo - thyroid.

I get swelling all around my eyes I guess from TSH being high.

The way understand it is hyperthyroidism tends to make bulging eyes.

But the hypo must make the tissue around eyes bulge.

The way I feel is very difficult to interpret. Hypo feels just like hyper. I

am learning.

Any ideas on how to differentiate between hypo and hyper.

Thanks

hi,i have been dealing with hypothyroidism since

1990.first off there are some things you might want to cut

back on because it can interfere with your tsh

level.such as soy and iodine.also if your taking estrogen

that can mess with your tsh level.there are some

really good sights that you can get info on.or just type

in hypothyroidism on the net.good luck with your

levels.

Hi Laney1964,
I like you am new to this whole

thing, but we are in a great club. Not only do you get good

information from the members, but they let you know all the

good sites that will help you understand the disease

alot more. The people I have the pleasure of talking to

have been so sweet and understanding and try to answer

all the questions I put to them...no matter how crazy

they are.Just wanted to let you know that you are very

welcome in this club, and that you can email me anytime

you want...at trace33_2000@...,or IM at

trace33_2000.
Take care always,
Tracey :o)

Hi again, I just want to say thank you to those

who have welcomed me to the club and I really looke

forward to actually learning about this disease I now

have to live with. Was a relief to have it diagnosed

tho...I didn't know what was wrong and was tired of all

the theories from the doctors and taking medication

to treat the symptoms without ever knowing what was

actually wrong and being so discouraged when nothing was

working to improve my health. The thrill of knowing

what's wrong wore off fast though as time keeps going on

and my thyroid is still not stablized. I guess I had

thought it would all be " taken care of " and in a much

more timely matter.

Tomorrow I go back to the

doctor to find out the results of my blood work done

last week. What's this number I see referred to

often...the TSH or something? And what would be a normal

number? Now that I've seen it I want to ask my doctor

what my number is.

Thanks all =),
-Ann

stephanie (and all the other newbies here lately--i haven't had much time

lately, so i haven't posted a welcome to many of you!),

welcome to the list--glad you found it and glad you have been informing

yourself of the dangers of vaxes--it's not an easy undertaking--trying to be

informed about an issue that is so hotly debated and so closely guarded by

the medical profession!!

as far as the IPV goes, that is one that i really wouldn't worry about

(IMHO--in my humble opinion), because there haven't been ANY cases of polio

that have been contracted naturally in the US, for about 20 years--EVERY

single case of polio has been traced back to the OPV--which is why they

changed over to IPV--so the risk/concern about polio is just not an issue any

longer.

i hope you all gain the knowledge that you need to be informed and

comfortable with your decisions to not vax your kids--you will see that in

the long run they will be healthier and have much less problems than their

vaxed counterparts.

again, welcome to the list--try to keep up with all the mail that this list

generates--it's tough, but you can learn soooo much from it!!

Welcome back! I am so glad to hear you are doing

better. I also take T3 and it has made such a difference

for me as well, and I was feeling as badly as you

were, wondering every day how I would make it through

the day. It is so discouraging that doctors are not

up to this, although I think in the US most holistic

docs favor T3 medications. Anyway, glad to hear you

had such a great holiday and are feeling so much

better!

Talk to you soon :)
Bev

So sorry to hear about the pup, must be a child spirit needed it's love........ whatever the reason, just know, that we are under chemical influences, and sometimes our brains don't function as they were before tx. Don't be hard on yourself, I don't believe any of us have control over what goes on, in life, as it presents itself, and I believe that our spiritual guide is looking after us, one and all.

Keeping all in my prayers, as always,

Donna

I am 3a and responded after my third shot (perhaps sooner, but that is when I

had my first blood test.) I also have not had a biopsy.....my Dr said that

most professionals were recommending it, but since it would not change my

treatment, I decided against it.

With your genotype, I am hopeful that you have responded well to treatment!

Let us know.

HI Sue,

Wow I am surprised to see someone doing treatment without a biopsy

first. How will your dr know if the treatment has helped any liver

damage if there is no starting point to check from?

Have you visited Hepatitis Foundation International's website? Its a

great one and maybe they can help you find a support group that meets

more often. I have a list on my website of National support groups as

well if that will help.

Support is the most important thing when it comes to dealing with a

chronic illness. Maybe you and your friend can start up a group that

will meet more often. You would be amazed at how much it helps not

only you but others when you do that.

Hang in there and I hope your treatment goes well and is successful!

You have the right Genotype for it thats for sure!

you will all forgive me. health and life seems to get in the way.i

am still on hepatitis treatment, my hiv combo is not working so it is

time for a change. enough of that though, the reason i am posting

today is to let you all know that spam of disastrous proportions is

forcing me to change my email address and i want to beg you all to

let me rejoin this group under my new email address. it is

oletomato@.... please, please, dont lock the door, your

inspiration is too valuable to lose.

anyway, for now, know that i think of you all often.

I took the test also & thought there was a BUNCH of Pharmacology too...I

wasn't expecting that much. The math was not all that hard either...I was

worried

about that part.

I didn't know the answer on Climara question either. Does anyone?
