Guest guest
I have had experience with the Woodridge office and the Aurora office. The Woodridge office is definitely nicer. Make sure you know where to find it; it's a little tucked away. Good luck. I spoke to someone I work with who went through the process, he suggested I call and go there in person to speak to them, he said the office here in Woodridge was very helpful and they were very nice to work with. I do appreciate any good vibes you can send our way :-) Thanks, you have no idea how many e-mails I've printed off from some of you so I can at least feel somewhat informed! Have a great rest of the day, H.

Guest guest
You may get asked where you live, and referred to the nearest office. I had also heard that Woodridge was more civil. I did Neal's intake there with someone who was moderately pleasant. Eventually, I had the occasional need to call, and sometimes got other folks there, who reminded me that Aurora was the closest office. Things also got complicated because my location put me on Aurora's list. I got mail from both offices. Within 2 years, just as I was trying to get answers to complicated questions (such as " Why don't you have recorded all the pay stubs I've sent you for the past several months? " ) from Woodridge, the case manager stopped returning my calls. When I called the 800 number for help, they told me to deal with Aurora. So far I've had good luck with Aurora. I don't know if I would've liked doing an intake at Aurora, but you might like to be prepared to do intake only at Woodridge. -Gail From: sunshinebeaches3@... <sunshinebeaches3@...> Subject: wish me luck ipaddunite Date: Sunday, May 2, 2010, 2:57 PM  I'm making the call to social security for tomorrow to start the process of receiving SSI, he turned 18 on 4/20.
