Guest guest
Let's see at 740$ Canadian a vial plus dispensing fees, it would cost me $40,000 a year. No one in Canada pays for it themselves.....they are not even eligible. Guest guest
My copay this month was $750 for xolair and $200 for itraconazole. Och! If I had to pay list price, I would be SOL. mister_manganese <barryb@...> wrote: Xolair is great ... as long as someone else is paying for it. Guest guest
YOUCH!!! 750 for a copay??? wow!! i do not have a copay for the xolair (375mg every 2 weeks), and i don't even pay a copay when i go to the dr for the shots...i only have a copay once a month when i'm scheduled for a " follow up " . i'm not sure how, but i'm sure not going to question the system... heather RICHARD LOWE <richard-lowe@...> wrote: My copay this month was $750 for xolair and $200 for itraconazole. After my insurance, I pay 20.00 a shot for the doctor charges. Two shots every 2 weeks plus my xolair is 110.00 a month. Man, I wish my doctor would let me give myself the xolair at home. That would save me 80 bucks a month. I have asked and asked till I am blue in the face but the answer is always the same. With a look of horror and shock on his face he says: " At home? you have to be kidding? That is just too dangerous seeing that your asthma is so bad. " sigh! Guest guest
That's a lot to reach into your pocket for. It's my understanding that one max dose (that would be two injections) of Xolair costs around $1000 US. I really hope this money is being plowed back into research on new drugs. > Xolair is great ... as long as someone else is paying for it. Guest guest
Actually the max dose is three vials - $1500. For those of us getting the max dose twice a month, that's $36000 a year.
